Advent in Art (Intermission #1)

In this strange season when we are suspended between realization and expectation, may we be found honest about the darkness, more perceptive of the light.

These words of Jack Boozer are printed in each of Mark Pierson’s Advent in Art cards this year.

There’s enough packed in that sentence to take us right through Advent.

This piece from xkcd came to mind for me. What about you?

(And lest you mistake the shining optimism of the cartoon text as superficial, delusional, or somehow too easy, do visit xkcd, the ‘webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math and language.’)

Any other thoughts on light and darkness you’d like to add this Advent?
